jeanette fernstrom is fundraising for Memory Miles benefiting Active Heroes.

Iam a mother of 2 that is in the Military and this is why I am doing this,also I helped on Home for our troops in Va to bulid a home for a Veteran who lost both legs over seas now with this new home made just for him he can have a better life and independents for him it was amazing to see his face when the house was done for his family.

This is my way for saying thank you for all that you have done for my freedom.

With home foreclosure and unemployment rates for veterans at all-time highs, and an alarming 18 veterans commiting suicide every day, so many veterans and military families are clearly still in need. To date, Hike For Heroes fundraising efforts have helped many of the wishes made by military families come true. The wishes range from assistance paying utility and medical bills, purchasing equipment for disabled children, saving homes from foreclosure, purchasing children's clothing to buying a used car for a family of seven.

So much more needs to be done which is why we're asking for your support!
